KitKat.Obsessiveness
I think Japan is obsessed by Kitkats. The varieties appear to vary by region within Japan and also vary over time. Most are only available for limited periods. Usually there are only 2-3 varieties available at a time.Check the AMAZING range of Kit Kats at the Wiki. Scroll to the bottom for the pictures of the many Japanese varieties. The name of the chocolate bar resembles a Japanese expression - "kitto katsu" - used by students to wish each other luck before exams. The phrase has been translated roughly as: "I hope you will win." - BBC News .

What I have learned from Japanese KitKats 2008
2Now I have collected kitkats for nearly two years I am getting over it. It has though been interesting. Suprisingly it has taught me about Japanese desserts and tastes. I have also learned about what different regions are famous for and finally I have noticed that the Australian Flavors like Honeycomb, mint, and double-choc have not been used. The flavor I would like to see the most.....Tokyo Banana!Kinako KitKat
Kinako is a Japanese sweet with a "Sweet Soy Flour" flavor. The texture is quite doughy but I didn't mind them at all.
